Houseware Share

We’re excited to bring back our annual Houseware Share event! Members of the community can donate new or gently used household items and furniture for families in our Branching Out aftercare program. After our families have selected what they want, there will be a yard sale open to the public (12:00pm - 2:00pm) with all proceeds benefitting FMF.

The event will be at Elizabeth Street UMC on June 29th, 2024.

Ready for spring cleaning? We’re looking for donations of household items such as art/decor, dishes, bedding, small furnishings, etc.

Items we do not accept: clothing, food, large furniture (any large furniture can be arranged for delivery at a later date).

• Friday, June 28th from 8:00am - 6:00pm at FMF (300 N. Queen St. Durham)

• Saturday, June 29th from 8:30am - 10:00am at Elizabeth St. UMC (1209 N. Elizabeth St. Durham)

volunteer

We will have various volunteering opportunities during the event. We also invite teens (14+ years old) to volunteer. Set up will be 8:00am-10:00am and clean up will be 2:00pm-4:00pm.

Volunteer slots include providing transportation for families to and from the event. Drivers must be 18+ years or older and preference for those with a truck or SUV. Volunteers can also help with set up and/or clean up for the event.
